CLAT Coaching in Chandigarh

CLAT 2027 & 2028 · Chandigarh

CLAT coaching for Chandigarh students, one price, no packages

Lawgic runs a single live online CLAT programme for Rs 20,000 flat — the whole course, not a starter tier. There is no Chandigarh branch to visit and no local surcharge to pay, because the class is the same live session wherever you sit.

Lawgic is an online institute based in Mohali. We do not operate a classroom in Chandigarh, and nothing on this page should be read as claiming one.

The NLU picture from Chandigarh

No NLU in Chandigarh — but RGNUL is 70 km up the road

Chandigarh itself has no National Law University. The closest is Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law at Patiala, about 70 km away, and Himachal Pradesh National Law University in Shimla is the next nearest. Chandigarh does have Panjab University’s Department of Laws, but that admits through PU’s own entrance test, not CLAT — two different exams, two different preparations, and a lot of local confusion between them.

RGNULPatiala, ~70 km

The nearest NLU to Chandigarh. Admits through CLAT.

HPNLUShimla

The next closest NLU to the tricity.

PU LawChandigarh

Panjab University’s own entrance — not CLAT.

Based on the Consortium of NLUs list of twenty-four participating universities for CLAT 2026. Always confirm the current year’s list and counselling data on the Consortium’s official website before you finalise a preference order.

What this means for your preparation

Where a Chandigarh student actually stands

This is our home region. Lawgic teaches from Mohali, so Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur students are on the same clock as the faculty and can reach us directly. If you are weighing CLAT against the Panjab University law entrance, we cover both — see our PU Law preparation page. Plenty of tricity students prepare for both and keep their options open.

The paper itself

What CLAT actually asks you to do

CLAT UG is 120 multiple-choice questions in two hours, marked +1 for a correct answer and −0.25 for a wrong one, with no penalty for leaving a question blank. Almost every question hangs off a passage, so the exam is closer to a reading test with five different subjects attached than to five separate subject papers.

20% of the paperEnglish Language

Comprehension passages of around 450 words, followed by inference, tone and vocabulary questions. Nothing is asked outside the passage.

25% of the paperCurrent Affairs & GK

Also passage-based, drawn from news of the preceding year. The heaviest section for most students, and the one that rewards steady weekly work.

25% of the paperLegal Reasoning

Principle-and-fact problems. No prior legal knowledge is needed or rewarded — you apply the principle you are given, even when it contradicts common sense.

20% of the paperLogical Reasoning

Argument structure, assumptions, flaws and analogies, again built on short passages rather than standalone puzzles.

10% of the paperQuantitative Techniques

Data interpretation from graphs and tables using class-10 level arithmetic. The smallest section, and the one most often abandoned too early.

Pattern and weightages per the Consortium of NLUs for CLAT 2026. Confirm the current year’s official notification before you plan around it.

Boards and the calendar

Fitting CLAT around CBSE, with PSEB across the Punjab border

Most Chandigarh schools follow CBSE, while students commuting in from Punjab may be on PSEB. Either way the Class 12 exams land in the February to March window that CLAT revision wants. Because we teach from Mohali, our class timings are already built around the tricity school day.

Our classes are live, but every session is recorded and available afterwards, which is the part that matters most during board season. A missed class during exams is a class you watch later, not a class you lose.

One programme, one price

Rs 20,000 flat, everything included

We publish one price because tiered packages exist to make the real number hard to find. There is no premium tier holding back the good faculty and no separate charge for the test series. What a Chandigarh student pays is what a Mohali student pays.

Rs 20,000
  • Live interactive classes
  • Full recordings, rewatch anytime
  • Complete study material
  • Full-length and sectional mocks
  • Weekly current affairs
  • One-to-one mentorship

Questions from Chandigarh

Frequently asked

Is there a National Law University in Chandigarh?

No. The nearest NLU is RGNUL in Patiala, roughly 70 km from Chandigarh, followed by HPNLU Shimla. Panjab University’s Department of Laws is in Chandigarh but admits through its own entrance exam rather than CLAT.

Is Lawgic based in Chandigarh?

Lawgic teaches online from Mohali, in the Chandigarh tricity. Classes are live and interactive rather than in a classroom, so students from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur attend the same sessions as students anywhere else in India.

Should I prepare for CLAT or the Panjab University law entrance?

They are separate exams with different papers. CLAT opens the twenty-four National Law Universities nationally; the PU entrance opens Panjab University’s own law programmes in Chandigarh. Many tricity students prepare for CLAT as the primary target and sit the PU exam as a backup. We run preparation for both.

When should a Chandigarh student start preparing for CLAT?

Twelve to eighteen months of steady work is the realistic window. Tricity students preparing for both CLAT and the PU law entrance should start earlier still, since the two papers reward different habits and need separate revision time.

Sit in on a class before you decide

The demo is a real session, not a sales call. Attend one from Chandigarh, see whether the teaching suits you, and decide afterwards.
