ILS Law College Pune Fees 2026-27

Flat illustration of five coin stacks, one for each year, with a graduation cap and an open ledger, representing the year-by-year cost of a five-year law degree at ILS Law College Pune.

The short answer

A Within State student joining ILS Law College’s BA LLB in 2026-27 pays Rs 41,375 in the first year. The BBA LLB is Rs 35,000 a year for Indian students. Two things matter as much as the number: part of the BA LLB fee is under court review, and ILS admits only through MH CET Law — not CLAT.

If you are pricing an ILS admission, the figures below come straight from ILS’s own published fee structures for 2026-27 — not from a portal’s summary. We also explain the one part of the fee that could still change, and clear up the admission route, which catches out a lot of CLAT aspirants.

Key takeaways

  • BA LLB, first year (Within State): Rs 41,375. Higher for Out of State, SAARC and NRI.
  • BBA LLB: Rs 35,000 a year (years I–IV) for all Indian categories.
  • Rs 32,450 of the BA LLB fee is subject to a High Court-directed review and a pending writ petition.
  • Admission is through the Maharashtra Law CET only. A CLAT score does not count at ILS.

BA LLB fees 2026-27, year by year

This is ILS’s published total fee per year for each year of the five-year BA LLB, by category (source: ilslaw.edu).

YearReserved CategoryFreeship (Rajarshi Shahu, SEBC, OBC/SBC/NT)Within StateOut of StateSAARCNRI
IRs 37,540Rs 39,875Rs 41,375Rs 43,375Rs 81,020Rs 1,21,355
IIRs 36,840Rs 39,135Rs 40,635Rs 42,135Rs 80,970Rs 1,21,305
IIIRs 36,840Rs 39,135Rs 40,635Rs 42,135Rs 80,970Rs 1,21,305
IVRs 36,840Rs 39,135Rs 41,135Rs 43,135Rs 81,970Rs 1,22,805
VRs 36,840Rs 39,135Rs 41,635Rs 44,135Rs 82,970Rs 1,24,305

Each year’s total is three parts: tuition, an SPPU (Savitribai Phule Pune University) other fee, and a college other fee. For a Within State student in year I that is Rs 1,500 + Rs 3,085 + Rs 4,340 + Rs 32,450 = Rs 41,375.

Two patterns are worth knowing. The SPPU fee is higher in the first year than in later years. And for Within State and higher categories, tuition rises in years IV and V (Rs 1,500 in years I–III, Rs 2,000 in year IV, Rs 2,500 in year V for Within State) — the college other fee stays the same each year.

What five years at ILS costs

ILS publishes fees year by year, not a five-year total. Adding up its 2026-27 figures gives this estimate:

CategoryFive-year estimate (2026-27 fees)
Reserved CategoryRs 1,84,900
Freeship (Rajarshi Shahu, SEBC, OBC/SBC/NT)Rs 1,96,415
Within StateRs 2,05,415
Out of StateRs 2,14,915
SAARCRs 4,07,900
NRIRs 6,11,075

This is our arithmetic, not an official ILS figure. A student joining in a later year will pay that year’s fees, which may differ — and part of the fee is under court review (below). Use it to budget, then confirm each year on ilslaw.edu.

BBA LLB fees 2026-27

ILS’s BBA LLB fee for years I to IV, as approved by the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA) for 2026-27 (source: ilslaw.edu):

CategoryFee per year
Within Maharashtra — Open GeneralRs 35,000
Within Maharashtra — Reserved categoryRs 35,000
Outside MaharashtraRs 35,000
NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / Gulf / Foreign studentsRs 1,75,000
Student admitted against an NRI seatRs 1,05,000
  • For Indian categories the Rs 35,000 is tuition Rs 30,973 + development fee Rs 4,027.
  • First year only: refundable deposits of Rs 5,000 caution money and Rs 1,000 SPPU library deposit.
  • ILS states candidates must pay any additional fee if fees are increased under rules or directions of the State Government, SPPU, CET Cell, ARA, FRA or other authorities.
  • The 2026-27 FRA page covers years I–IV only. No fifth-year BBA LLB fee is published there, so do not assume it matches year IV.

The part of the fee that is under court review

Most of the BA LLB fee is the Rs 32,450 college “Other Fee” (Rs 64,900 for SAARC, Rs 97,350 for NRI students). ILS’s own fee page carries this note under the table:

“This amount of ‘Other Fee’ charged by the ILS Law College will be subject to the decision of Fee Fixation Committee on the proposal to be made by the college as directed by the Hon’ble High Court and the final outcome of the Writ Petition bearing no.7672/2026.”

In plain terms: that amount is being charged now, but it is not final. The outcome could change it. If you are budgeting tightly, treat it as the one uncertain line in the bill, and check ILS’s fee page for updates.

How admission works: MH CET Law, not CLAT

A lot of CLAT aspirants list ILS as a backup. Read ILS’s own notice first. Its Admission Process 2026-27 says admission to the first year of the five-year and three-year programmes is granted on the basis of the Maharashtra Law CET score, that the CET score is mandatory, and that the entire process is conducted and governed by the CET Cell, Mumbai (cetcell.mahacet.org).

So a CLAT score on its own will not get you into ILS. If ILS is on your list, register for and sit MH CET Law separately. ILS is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and is on Law College Road (Chiplunkar Road), Pune 411004.

If you are comparing costs with the National Law Universities you would reach through CLAT, see our guide to NLU fees in India.

What about ILS cutoffs?

The most recent cutoff list on ILS’s own website is for 2022-23. Current category-wise cutoffs come through the CET Cell’s CAP rounds, not from a list ILS publishes. For your admission year, check the CET Cell’s official merit lists — and be wary of any “ILS cutoff” figure online that does not name its source and year.
